Please help with SAT scores? So paranoid!

Hi, so I took the subject tests in June, and did poorly. The best score I got was in the 51st percentile. I thought I was ok because I didn't send them to any schools, but I did! I sent them to two schools I really want to go to (U of Miami and U Michigan Ann Arbor)...how bad is this going to hurt me? I don't have time to to retake them because I wanted to apply by November 1, and I have to take the normal SAT in October.
I can't take them back. :| Should I retake them in November and then apply regular decision?
I really don't want this to ruin my chances of getting in.

Thank you!

Even if it’s bad, it wouldn’t affect you. It’s just neutral. It would be better for you to retake them though, but if you really want to apply early, then don’t.

If this is early decision you’re talking about, apply early as you originally planned with your “bad” score, then state that you plan on taking the test again. There should be a space in the application to choose that option. You don’t want to delay your application for a test score if you have a better chance of getting in through early admission, it’s not even guaranteed that you’ll improve.

If this is NOT early admission and you simply wanted to be done by Nov 1, don’t apply until after you have the score you want to report.

it is early action, not binding. and the school doesn’t require the subject tests, will that make a difference?
