Please help!!

I am just entering grade 11 and have this rather vexing dilemma in selecting between Economics and Biotechnology. Both are extremely scoring and interesting. I'd be highly obliged if you could tell me which among the two aforementioned courses would appeal more to the Ivy Leagues in my application?? Thanks a ton!!

They would prefer to see you take the course you’re interested in. What do you plan on majoring in? It’s not as if you’re debating between AP Calc BC and AP Statistics as your math. Either of the classes you mentioned will be fine. Don’t try to change yourself to appeal to the admissions officers. Be yourself, that is your best bet.

see that’s where the basic issue is… i have a deep rooted interest in both courses!! i want to choose one of them which would make my curriculum look more ‘rounded’.

my other courses include english literature, english writing, maths II, chemistry and physics.

Still not certain!!

What does “extremely scoring” mean?

in our school we kinda get marked out of hundred in subjects and the same effort in both of these subjects can fetch us a max of around 96 - 99(max) …

while economics is more of a ‘rote’ sub, biotech is somewhat of a lab based course.

Either will look good on your app. Take the one that interests you the most.
