College Choices:
(reach)
Stanford (early action)
Cal Tech

(match)
US Air Force Academy
U of Michigan

(safety)
Michigan Tech (accepted)

please help me on my chances, also please let me know of any other colleges you think I should apply to! I was thinking: Yale, Georgia Tech.....not sure where else....I want to go to stanford, but i might not get in (same with cal tech). I dont really want to go to my other three schools, but i will if it comes down to it. Anyway, i'm looking for a college between stanford and michigan. (stanford is tough to get in to, michigan is too big for me).

Financial aid is a factor, but my parents make combined 55k/yr, so I qualify for lots of need-based financial aid (at the prestegious schools. Also, USAFA is free)

Here is some other information about me:

I participate in: Football, track, band

I enjoy swimming, golfing, snowboarding, kayaking.

My favorite subject is science, closely followed by math. Specifically, I prefer Physics, then Chemistry, then Biology.

I know I want to be an engineer because I love to do puzzles and take things apart.

I'm thinking Environmental, chemical, or biomedical engineering.

If Michigan is on the radar, maybe UVA or UCLA? I don’t know how much you would be willing to go out of state. Just a thought. Look pretty solid for your matches though.

Could you change USAFA for a reach? All five service academies are reaches for everyone.

Perhaps…what other match schools could i put there then?

The only OOS publics that give good need-based aid are UVA and UNC.

The UCs would not be affordable. Neither would GT.

What is your ACT composite from ONE sitting? Right now, your superscore ACT is a 33. Is your best composite from one sitting a 32? or ???

best composite ACT: 32
