I know my question might sound pretty silly, but I didn’t really know who to ask. I already submitted most of my supplemental essays and today out of nowhere I realized that I didn’t follow the correct essay format, that is I didn’t indent the beginning of every new paragraph nor did I double space. I don’t know how I didn’t think about this! I’m freaking out, can someone please tell me whether I’m in trouble or not? Help will be greatly appreciated.
My answer is opinion based only but I can’t imagine that’d be a deal breaker, I didn’t follow academic formatting for an essay I submitted for my college application a few years ago as it was submitted online and had no problems, was accepted. Don’t know the rules for the school you applied to but I can’t imagine it being a deal breaker.
^Agreed. I applied for schools 5+ years after I graduated high school (and thus, 5+ years since I had to write anything in an academic format), and I don’t remember specifically following any format guildines when typing up the essays. I know for sure I didn’t double space and all that. I was accepted to schools still.
