Please help!

<p>I just got my June scores back and I was shocked at how bad I did considering I studied a lot.
My goal is at least a 2000 and I only have 3 months to raise my score. My score was even lower than it was the first time(which i did not even open a book for). </p>

<p>I'm hoping to get into UCSB or UCD so please give me advise!!</p>

<p>March SAT:1690 (didn't study)
CR: 470
Math: 630
Writing: 590 (bad essay:7)</p>

<p>June SAT:1660
CR: 460
Math: 620
Writing: 580 (my essay was completely off topic I'm surprised i even got a 6)</p>

<p>I'm thinking about getting a tutor but am not sure if the price will be worth it since I need to see such a big increase. Can tutors help raise a score by 300+ points?
Please help any advise would be great!</p>

<p>thank you both. How high of a point raise may I be able to see with a tutor? Since I am better at science and math do you think I would have a better ACT score?
