Please Help!!!!!

Because I am a very stupid and forgetful person, I forgot to ask my guidance counselor for a letter of recommendation. I know a few of my schools want them. Does this mean that I have no chance in being accepted?

A letter of recommendation is standard for college application. Each college weighs it differently for acceptances.

You won’t be the first nor the last. Contact the college admissions teams via email asap to let them know the situation, that you’ll have it in as soon as you can get hold of your guidance counselor but this may be the start of the semester.

Email your guidance counselor asap also. Their email may be on your school’s website. If you’re very lucky, they may check their email from home. Be super polite. Beg. Apologise. Beg and apologise some more.

Then call the college the first working day back. Find out if there’s a problem. You may well be okay. Just be prepared to help your GC to get that rec in as fast as you can with minimal bother for them.

So don’t panic. Just be prepared to act fast.

Has the deadline passed for these schools ?

Your GC would not be the best person for a TE. You should try to get a teacher in a core subject. Get them a script of your highlights (the things you would like to include) and be very very nice to them and say you need to expedite it.
