Good day. I am an international student from Ghana (a small West African Country), studying at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I am an economics major, hoping to transfer to another institution. I was wondering if I wanted to the following colleges, will a 3.5 grade point average be adequate for me to hopefully be admitted. These are the following schools:</p>

<li>Georgetown University</li>
<li>Any Ivy League Institution</li>
<li>Navy, Army, or Air Force.</li>
<li>College of William and Mary</li>
<li>UCLA</li>
<li>Indiana University</li>
<li>University of North Carolina</li>

<p>i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WHETHER IF A 3.5 GPA IS ADEQUATE OR NOT FOR A TRANSFER TO THESE INSTITUTIONS. IF NOT, THEN WHAT IS ADEQUATE FOR A TRANSFER TO THESE COLLEGES. MY REASON FOR TRANSFER WOULD BE TO GO TO A MORE INTELLECTUALLY-FRIENDLY CAMPUS AND A CAMPUS WITH MORE DIVERSITY IN A STUDENT BODY. PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS AND OFFER ANY POSSIBLE SUGGESTIONS</p>

<p>If you aren't a U.S. citizen you can't be admitted to the U.S. Military Academy, Naval Academy, or Air Force Academy. But no need to worry, all of those other schools on your list are great schools.</p>

<p>It's almost impossible to judge knowing only your GPA. </p>

<p>Being a student currently attending the number 3 university on your list, I think your GPA is average; neither impressive nor disappointing. </p>

<p>UVa has a good economics department, but you need more than just a 3.5 GPA to transfer here. </p>
