please help

Hey everyone. So I’ve already applied to about 10 schools (most of them Ivies), and I reported all of my AP scores on the common app, except for AP Biology and World History (I got a 3 on both of those) and AP Physics (didn’t take the exam). Should I email the admissions office of each school and tell them my scores, because I don’t want them thinking I failed any of the exams, or do you think it is better to leave it as it is and why?

Thanks so much

Since it’s self reported, I don’t think that too much weight is placed on them. I also got a 3 on the Physics 1 exam, and didn’t report it (instead, I reported my 5s and 4s). They have no reason to assume you failed it, although from the college admissions counselors I’ve talked to (UChicago/Vanderbilt) they don’t really consider 3s a bad score. Nonetheless, as of currently, AP Scores are more so to gain college credit (though, most of the schools you applied to probably wouldn’t accept it) rather than to largely impact your admission chances. Also, undergrad admissions may get a bit annoyed if you email to tell them about something trivial/that they possibly can’t or won’t change on your file because it’s not a huge deal.

TL;DR: It’s self reported, don’t sweat it. Good luck!
