You should easily be able to find this information on the website. There is a section for freshman applicants. It’s usually clear if they accept freshamn only for fall, or other periods too.
For UC’s:
Winter quarter/spring semester or spring quarter 2017
All UC campuses are formally closed to all applicants for the winter quarter/spring semester or spring quarter 2017.
However, special programs (TAG, EOP, Academic Re-Entry, Veterans, Disabled, etc.) may be open at some campuses. Please inquire at the admission office at the individual campuses.
