<p>I was wondering if it would be a dumb decision to go to American University if I am interested in science. I really like AU but It doesn’t appear to be strong in science, would someone please help me. thanks.</p>
<p>I have friends who are in AU's pre-med program and they seem to like it alright. The program is obviously not very big but I guess that gives people some individual attention they want. I think coming here as a pre-med would not be a terrible idea because as long as you do well in MCAT and get good GPA, you can go to a good medical school, which pretty much nullifies your undergraduate education.</p>
<p>However, if you just plan on getting a science degree, I don't know if that degree is going to get you anywhere. AU really does not have big/good enough facilities and equipment to have strong science programs, which means that you will miss out on a lot of cool experiments you could be doing at other better science schools. I would go elsewhere for science if at all possible.</p>
