I'm at a community college in Southern California, and I want nothing more then to transfer to Cornell.
However, for financial reasons, I knew I was never going to afford a four year university out of high school, so I never took the SAT's or ACT (however, my grades weren't near Cornell worthy anyways)
I've just completed a full year at my community college, and two summer courses and I have 4.0, but not too many EC's due to working full time for my fathers business for the last three years.
My question is this, since my high school gpa was less then stellar, should I wait to apply for Fall admissions, (means you apply in Feb-March) or can I still apply for Spring, (meaning I would be applying this Oct-Nov) I'm just wondering if I wait, perhaps they will look less at my high school record, and more at my college grades, or does this not matter? Because like I said, my high school grades were terrible.
p.s. I'm pretty confident I don't NEED to take the SAT's or Act, can anyone confirm this? Thanks a whole lot if anyone actually reads this whole thing.

talk to the transfer specialist at the particular major/school you’re interested in :D

haha, I suppose I will give them a call tomorrow.

and yep there is not SATs required! I suppose because it is supposed to measure your potential for future colligiate success

alright cool, thanks.

bump if anyone else has an insight.

Whats your major and what college are you applying to?

I’m not sure on the exact major, but i’m pretty sure of the Humec college.
