u guys think i have a chance??

I am an international student going to my senior in an american international christian school in indonesia. i will graduate in 2006 and I am interested in applying to JHU for BME. The school i attend is really small (total 70 students). Being a small school there arent many oppurtunities. No AP courses, no clubs and only 2 sports teams

Stats

3.678/4.0 GPA
enrolled in the most competitive courses that my school has to offer
class rank--does not rank
SAT I taken in nov 2004 but i'm retaking in oct...hoping for 2200+
SAT II- Chem and Math IIC plan to take in nov--at least 720+ on both
AP's- AP Chem -3 May 05 taken w/o AP course(self studied), plan on taking Calc AB course in school and plan on AP Bio(self study)

recs--at least two really good recs, and one good rec

EC/other things
played tennis for 5 years at a local club
school Math Champion
participated in a musical dramas
keyboard for 7 years
community service at old people's home..etc--120+ hrs
hospital volunteer work--100+hrs
organized several fund raisers for my class
incharge of the school snack shop

btw, living in indonesia, i havent had any oppurtunities to do the things that students in the states do i.e research, clubs..etc...my school doesnt even have a student council

I think the fact that your school doesn't have clubs won't matter because you've made up for that by volunteering, organizing fundraisers, competing in math, musicals, etc. I don't know how much harder it is to get into Hopkins BME as opposed to regular Hopkins undergrad, but I'd say if you do as well on your SATs/SAT IIs as you predict, you have a very good shot.

thanks for the input smeds05...however i wont be applying ED....will that severely affect my chances?

I don't know much about the difference between early and regular admit rates (I applied regular decision), but if you want some stats, go here: http://www.ivywise.com/Parents_stats.htm .
