Ok so i was wondering what my chances are for a couple schools.

SATs: haven't taken them, and don't think i will, i did poorly on PSATs, but good on ACT
ACT: 31, 12 on the essay
APs: Chemistry-5
Biology-4
Physics-4
UW GPA: 3.66
W GPA: 4.2
Class Rank: Top 20%
Courseload: Pretty tough, 2 APs junior year, 4 APs senior year
Gender: Male
Race: White
State: MA

Essay: Strong

Recommendations: One good, one great

ECs (a little weak i know)

High school science team, leader of rocketry division (2 years)
Volunteer work at soup kitchen, nursing home, etc ~200 hours
Peer tutoring (2 years)
Summer job (1 year)
Varsity track (1 year)
Founded Community Service Program to help underprivileged kids in Boston (raised ~$2,000)
Stencil Club founder
Volunteer job teaching elementary school students Lego robotics

Looking to be a chemistry/biochem/chemE major

University of Virginia
UNC Chapel Hill
Vanderbilt
Tulane
Lehigh
Villanova
Wesleyan
Boston College
University of Richmond
Emory

Of course you’ll get into Tulane, University of Richmond and the like. I’d say you have a good shot at Vanderbilt, BC, and UVA. UNC and Emory are toss-ups. Your scores and grades are good but I’m actually most impressed by the volunteer time at the soup kitchen and nursing home.

Don’t give too much weight to my opinions, I’m also just a junior.

BC, Vanderbilt, and UVA will all be tough but none on your list seem impossible/ unreasonable. You can try taking ACT again, if you got one or two points higher you’d probably be able to get into most if not all of them. Will you need financial aid? That can make a difference to some of these schools.

Wow your pretty similar to me
BC- good chance, I was accepted with similar stats
UNC-reach. I was denied OOS with 32/3.95. OOS to unc is like applying to an ivy almost
UVA-low reach
Villanova-match
Vandy-low reach/high match
Unfarmiliar with the rest

UNC Chapel Hill only reserves 20% of its incoming class for Out-of-State Students. So if do not live in North Carolina, you can forget about it.

2 APs Junior year and 4 Senior year is not that tough lol. I’m doing 3 A.P classes junior year and 6 senior year.
