hello good morning! i am an international student and i got into WVU as a geology major! i got into san francisco state university too, and i really dont know what to choose! what can you tell me about student life and campus life in west virginia univ? and about morgantown, are there cool things to do there? I am really lost between SFSU and WVU , so please honest opinions about WVU! thank you

I live in WV and have been to WVU so many times it’s not funny. WVU is very welcoming of international students, they love foreigners! The students are mostly white, there’s lots of restaurants to eat at. The dorms are typical, except the honors dorms and Lincoln are nice (but they fill up really fast). The campus is quite huge, but the unique thing about WVU is the PRT, which is like a beat up rail car that takes you all over campus- pretty cool. As far as THINGS to do… WVU is the number one party school in America. People like to watch football, there’s a theater, and there are some shops nearby. Morgantown is WV’s largest city, but even so it’s not big at all compared to San Francisco- which has a Chinatown, is a bigger city, more things to do, etc. As for the academics of WVU, you can go both ways- there are plenty of slacker/party students, and there are the ones who are actually interested in learning. There are plenty of both kinds! So, WVU is a small city life, not a bad choice as long as you do what you want!
