<p>These thing are annoying, but seem to be the in thing lately. So why not. I'm a hispanic male in a competitive publie school, average 1200/1600 SAT. I'm first-gen in the US, first-gen to college. </p>

<p>SAT I 2200/1480 790M, 690CR, 720W
SAT II: Math IIC 800, Physics 800, Spanish 710, Lit 690
AP: Euro 5, Comp Sci A 3, BC Calc 5, Music Theory 5
IB: Math Methods SL 7, Spanish SL 6
Note: Full IB diploma candidate (4 HL classes this year: HOTA, English, Music, Physics)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:</p>

<p>Science/Math Research (around 600 hours since 10th), submitting to Intel
Tour Choir (10+ hours a week since 11th, were touring in France this year)
Academic Team (around 60 hours a year since 9th)
Piano (been playing since age 4, 7 hours practice a wee
Leadership positions: Octet Leader (officer) for Tour Choir
Captain of Academic Team
Captain of Mathletes
Co-founder of the Western Suffolk Wiffleball League
Volunteer/Service Work: Piano Accompaniments (around 10-15 since last year, each about 10 hours of practice/rehearsal)
Students for 60000 (11th grade only, playing piano for random functions, around 20-30 hours)
Tour Choir (singing for memorials, etc.)
Columbia Science Honors Program (10-12th, around 75 hours/year)</p>

<p><em>HOOK</em> Math Research with a guy from the National Security Agency, thats the intel paper I worked on, should at least make semis</p>

College Summer programs: Research at Stony Brook in summer after 10th grade on Lorenz Attractor</p>

Recs: one i know is amazing, the other very good, and the counselor rec is most likely equally amazing as the first
Interview (at least with MIT): as good as I could have ever wanted, but I'm very good at interviewing so the rest should be good also</p>

<p>yo jestr thanks for commenting on me...and lol believe it or not youve become my model of perfection for what i should be when im a senior, considering our common background...im no expert but i honestly think you have a great chance at mit...like higher than 50%(affirmative action=<3) and a really great chance on the rest of them...good luck to ya...represent</p>

<p>The fact that you're hispanic (very sought after urm - that's your real hook), #1 in your class with an impressive GPA, have very good SAT scores, and 800s on both the Math2c and Physics SAT2s makes you a very competitive applicant at every school you applied to.</p>

Carnegie Mellon - Low Match
Boston College - Low Match/Safety
Lafayette - Safety</p>

<p>I'm saying that MIT, Yale, and Princeton are High Matches/Low Reaches for you only because all three are so damn selective and almost nobody is a shoe-in in any of those schools. However, given your very good stats and urm status, my bet is that you get into two of the three, probably with substantial scholarship money. Truthfully, it would not surprise me if you got into all three, and all the other schools you applied to as well.</p>

<p>plus my school sends around 10 to ivies a year, havent had any from princeton, yale, OR MIT in the last 3 years. the princeton dry spell is 5, mit is 4 i think? and yale is 3. however harvard takes like 3 a year, brown took 3 last year, and columbia and cornell took a combined 3. thats one of the reasons im a little wary of the schools im applying to</p>
