I really appreciate it! Feel free to do some or all of the colleges below.
White, middle class Junior at the best private school in my state (not trying to brag, it’s actually rated as such)
ACT Scores:
English:35
Critical Reading: 34
Math: 32
Science: 36
Essay: 12
COMPOSITE: 34
I will be taking the ACT again in April to get my math scores up.
My GPA is not what I would like it to be. Freshman year and the beginning of sophomore year I was dealing with serious depression and stayed in the hospital for a brief period of time. I plan on explaining this in some way on my application.
My freshman year GPA was around 3.6, sophomore was about 3.7, and junior will be 4.0.
Comes up to about a 3.77 UW composite. I was enrolled in the hardest courses possible and was a year ahead in math.
My school is very difficult and this GPA is in the top 20% and I have been on Honor Roll I every year.
ECS:
-Varsity soccer team 4 years. Most improved player freshman year, all conference sophomore year (hurt for most of JR. year
-Played on out of school club all of high school, Captain
-Varsity Track and Field Team Sophomore and JR. year
-President of Community Service club
-Part of peer counseling and peer mentoring group
-Job at a local coffee shop
-Worked as a soccer referee in the summers.
-Volunteer at animal shelter and elderly Home
-Very into drawing, won a silver and honorable mention key (award in my state)
-Took a lowkey Psychology course in summer after sophomore year and a Business one after JR year (I want to go into some aspect of psychology, maybe HR or I/O)
I have teachers who I am very close with, so I believe that my recs will be good.
I am a good writer and will write a strong essay.
I plan on submitting some of my art pieces with my application.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1752010-chance-for-ucb-and-ucla-ill-chance-back.html?new=1
Thanks, I really appreciate it! Wish I could chance back but I have no knowledge about UC schools
NU: I’d say low reach/match if ED, for RD I’d say high reach because it’s really competitive.
Tufts: low reach/match if you write good essays
Everything else: idk but it looks like you’d get in the majority of them.
Also you really don’t need to improve your ACT at this point unless your positive you could get a 36 and just want to try one more time since you have a full year, or if you want a math/science major somewhere and just want to show you can score slightly higher, but you’re in the 90th percentile for all your sub scores.
Also your ECs are great. The only thing I would do is try to maximize grades to show the biggest upward trend possible. Also most schools have a comments section for you help explain why your struggled fresh/sophomore year, and are very understanding, so I wouldn’t worry about that damaging your chances. Overall, your stats show a lot of potential so you should have a decent shot at all these schools.
Do you mind posting your schedule so we could determine its rigor? Have you taken several APs?
My school actually does not offer AP or IB courses, only Honors in math and science courses (Counselors have said that colleges know this and do not penalize applying students)
