Please let me know what to do and how this affects my chances

Alright, I have an application due tonight. The word limit is 400-500 but they wrote "hint a pdf file under 500KB will be accepted".
My supplemental is 845 words. Yes, I know it's long, but it's really good. Like actually. So, should I be uploading that document, it is only 67 KB as a PDF or should I cut it down to the word limit they gave?
Will this diminish my chances of getting in because they placed a world limit that I didn't follow? Or since they have that hint, are they trying to say ' go for it, if you need to?"
Please let me know asap. It's due tonight!

Bump. Advice please?

Your options are not not a half-meg PDF or 500 words. Your option is 500 words, converted to PDF by some process that doesn’t result in an enormous file. (“I will print it on paper, then scan it at 1200 DPI in color” results in an enormous file, for instance.)

845 is not close enough to 500, IMHO.

I’ve cut it down to 500. All set.
