Please list the colleges I have chance with

Hi, I'm a rising senior and I just got my cumulative grades today.

I got no idea where can I get into with these scores. Please suggest schools for me.

GPA: 3.37(unweighted), 3.82(weighted)

SAT: 2300 (R:700 M:800 W:800)

SAT subject: math level 2: 800, Physics:760

AP Courses: AP Japanese, AP Calculus BC, AP Micro and Macro economics, AP statistics, AP physics, AP psychology, AP Computer Science, (Maybe I will choose to take AP world history, maybe not). So total of 7 courses. I dont have any scores because some of them i didnt get scores and some of them are next year's classes.

Honors: I had pretty much all honors except freshman year.

Freshman year: 5 C's and 2B's
Sophomore year: 5A's and 2B's (pretty much all honors)
Junior year: 5A's and 2B's (all honors)
I dont know if colleges will notice that I changed my attitude towards learning in sophomore year.

Clubs: Math club, Anime Club
Sports: General Mixed Martial Arts, Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Muay thai.
Volunteer: 100+ hrs.

I personally would like to apply to MIT and Stanford, because I have plan to learn science and math in the future. Are MIT and Stanford too high to aim? Univeristy of Maryland is my safety school.

I also would like some suggestions, because Im completly lost at choosing a college.

There’s a lack in Science and Math based Extracurriculars, so maybe try for an internship or volunteer at a lab this summer. Or start a science club. Your SAT scores will probably help a lot with getting into a good school, but it would be a good idea to really increase your GPA during your first semester of senior year. The only two things I see holding you back are the lack of a lot of Extracurriculars and your GPA. So I would say MIT and Stanford are a reach.

Check out these schools:
Rochester Institute of Technology
CMU
Georgia Tech
WPI
Case Western Reserve

MIT & Stanford are reaches, but still apply.
Congrats on your high SAT score!

I cant do anything with my GPA, because im planning to do early action. Any suggestion what math/science activity I can add to my list?

Depending on your state, check for science fair affiliated with ISEF or AJAS. Also, contact a local research lab in a university and ask to volunteer and work with them. Do a science fair project next year and possibly send in your research paper as part of your portfolio. Also, if there isn’t a FIRST Robotics team in your school, try starting one. Message me if you need help on the last one, our team is always looking to help start new teams. You can also start a science club, or experiments club. Tutor in STEM fields. Get an unpaid internship in a STEM company. Everything has to do with contacting enough people until someone gives you an opportunity :)

well, i do have an interest in robots but our school doesnt have a team nor i could afford to make one. Does programming android and ios count as an EC?

I think addressing that as a developed skill will help a lot. Maybe branch out with programming into html and C++. Have you created any apps? Making a few useful/semi-successful ones will help you stand out.

Take a look at schools that don’t consider freshman grades. I’m fairly sure Princeton as well as a few others only consider sophomore, junior and senior grades.

You are an interesting case. For such excellent test scores, you have a poor unweighted GPA. That certainly is going to hurt you.

Stanford and MIT are both reaches. You don’t have very good extracurriculars, and your amount of volunteering isn’t exceptional. I’d say try, but don’t be surprised if you get rejected. Have U Maryland as your backup is a good idea.

I don’t frankly know any colleges for you to look into. I don’t honestly know about a ton of schools.

I know you didn’t say you would, but if you want to chance me back:

Can you list your apps on EC on transcript? I didnt know that. and Is that true colleges such as princeton and stanford neglect freshman year GPA? in that case i will have 3.86 and 4.53 gpa
