HI i am looking into going into any of the TSAO schools. HEre are the highlights-
- 7th grader applying for 9th
- havent taken the SSAT yet
- Got a 600 in math and 550 in reading on the SAT
- Plays squash and ranked 3rd in state
- volunteers for local shelter
- very good relationship with teachers
- all A's and some B's

First question is you say your a 7th grader applying for 9th, you of course mean next school year right? Or are you skipping a grade? Second of all no one can really tell you your chances. As much as we’d all like to know unfortunately we do not because we don’t know what admission officers think. Also without other stats such as SSAT test scores, schools your applying to, GPA and things like that its hard to get a good picture of your situation. Although, from what I see here you have a very promising app so far and good luck to you in the process.

Well I don’t know if one is necessarily easier to get into than others. All are looking for different qualities and different spots to fill in their communities. The ones with the lower acceptance rate out of the ten are probably Andover, Exeter, SPS, Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Lawrenceville etc. I wouldn’t say these schools I’m about to mention are easier to get into, but they do have a higher acceptance rate than the others, the schools are The Hill School, Choate Rosemary, Loomis Chaffee, Taft. The lower acceptance rates at these schools are most likely because of the high yield at all ten of these wonderful schools. However, lower acceptance rates or not, all are extremely selective

I’d say that Loomis is the easiest to get into but it has a 25 percent admissions rank so still no surer that by no means. I’d say that you have a good chance especially being very good in one sport. A word of advice: take some practice ssats, try to get maybe one b next term, maybe join clubs and strengthen extracurricular.

If you’re applying to the “easiest schools,” (Whatever that means,) you might as well forget about boarding school. You should apply to schools that fit your personality and that you can see yourself living there for 4 years. This obviously takes a lot of investigation, something I think you’re currently lacking.
