<p>My son’s project is quite extensive. He spent many, many hours on it and the amount of work is quite obvious. I would hope they would at least have the thoughtfulness to acknowledge it, yes or no. But for the moment we are waiting for a positive outcome. Like everyone who applied.</p>

<p>ooh. It is not easy to explain. It’s called 99 Boxes and it has to do with a mathematical equation and a box of letters that were written to my mother by my father during World War II. He photographed ninety-nine boxes, nature, architecture and human parts and made an intense film using these photos set to driving music interspersed with live footage of a masked figure dancing with a box on the beach. He then made a hard-covered book of the technicolor photos and wrote a poem about his grandparents and the box of letters as captions to the amazing photos. It is actually quite breathtaking. He submitted both the film and the book to be enjoyed in sequence. I told you it was complicated. I would love to share the film with you all.</p>
<p>He really loved the challenge of the project after writing all those essays and is quite creative and loves photography and film although he will be pre-med.</p>

<p>I guess the responses will come on Monday or later. Especially since no one has posted with updates for today. I bet they mailed them out on Friday with a Monday delivery.</p>
<p>My s’s came on Monday with a Friday Mailing, even though the UPS (not Fedex) envelope said “extremely urgent” and was a “UPS Next day air saver” shipment. That was in 2008, so who knows if things have changed. Last year they used UPS also, even though they have a delivery deal with Fedex and a Fedex office on campus.</p>
<p>I found this thread and I was so happy, i’ve been searching this site for recent posts on the DHS and i finally found one!!! I, like everyone it seems, have yet to hear anything back. Everyday my heart has sunk when i have gone to check the mail to see if there is a “no” letter and even though they do not always send them, it has at least made me feel better not to have gotten one. I’m so nervous as I am sure all of you are and as much as i want to know whether i got it or not, I’m expecting not to unfortunately. <p>Did you try calling? In the past, some posters aid they called Fedex to determine if there ws a delivery scheduled. I woudl think UPS does this too</p>
<p>haha i just called UPS and they said there was no way to look up packages via an adress, only wiith a tracking number… i guess we all just have to be patient. lol</p>
<p>If it was sent UPS Next day air saver, then it would be sent by the cob on the next business day. Saturday delivery is an option, but typically it is just the next business day. So we should have some type of confirmation by Monday afternoon.</p>
