Please need Advice? Great M.D.

Hello, I am an high school graduate, I graduated in august of 2005, I will be 19 years old on january 13. Im going to college for the fall semester of 2006, im taking time off from school to volunteer, im currently volunteering at my local hospital, I currently have 200+ volunteer hours, im shooting for 1000 hours by the month of May 3 months before I go off to college, I go off to college for the fall semester, is this overboard?

Here are my volunteer credentials so far:
Loretto nursing home: 2 hours on thanksgiving
Unity Kitchen: 2 hours on christmas
Crouse hospital: 56 hours
VA Medical Center:36 hours
St.Josephs Hospital: 100+ hours

I plan on getting more volunteer hours in college also, I heard that if you have alot of volunteer hours, community service credentials when applying to medical school, you can have about a 3.3 gpa and still get in to good medical schools. Here are the medical schools I am shooting for?

Mehharry medical- Tennesse
UCLA medical
Morehouse medical- Georgia
JHU medical
Brown Medical
Columbia medical
NYU medical

Im going to a 2 year pre-med college in Missouri and Im going to transfer, what school should I transfer to? saying that i have a 3.3 G.P.A and 1,350 volunteer hours?

don't know whether this is the best place to ask because most of us are high school students. Try the pre-med forum.
