Please need some help

hello,

i need some help in what to do to improve myself so i can get in to a good college.

Profile:
- becoming a high school junior at a U.S territory outside the U.S
- my school doesnt grade in the 4.0 decimal scale so my GPA: 93%
- I havent taken any AP/HONOr classes for my freshman sophmore years. But will definitely take them junior and senior years.
- i dont do much extracurricular activities. I only run cross country and track/field.
- havent taken SAT or ACT

Junior Schedule:
AP English11
AP chemistry
AP US History
algebra 2: school doesnt have honor/AP class for this
Japanese 2 " " " " " '' ''
ART

I really need some help.
I really want to get into schools in California
really going for UCB, UCLA

what do you think i should improve or do to get me in the right direction for a spot at ucb or ucla.

Also, i have a mother that lives near San Francisco. Do you think by being a resident of California would up my chances in getting in.

If you yourself are a resident of CA then your chances for getting into any UC are improved.

You seem to know what you need to do...take AP/Honor classes (and do well in them, probably at least Bs), take SAT and/or ACT and get good scores, and get involved in ECs. Easier said than done, of course, but just study and find an EC or two that you LOVE and become really involved. Maybe join a club or something? Leadership positions help. And definitely prep for the SAT/ACT.

Ignore my previous chance predictions... 93% is close to a 4.00 GPA.
UCB/UCLA: Reach (out of state)
