Please offer math class advice

How important is learning geometry before learning algebra II/trigonometry? Assuming the person has already taken algebra I and some geometry...

It will be very important for trig.

How important?

um... if you want to continue to higher maths... i.e. calc u might want to take geometry... if you really want to skip out on geometry, maybe take a refresher course... a summer college class would cover all the basics needed for trig...

You will struggle with some trig with geometry. Geometry was my hardest class because I'm an equation type of person, but it's so helpful, and I don't think one can get through trig without some knowledge

you dont really need geometry for trig or algebra2. especially if you already know a little geometry.
well, i didnt anyways. you might need to know some formulas for geting the area and volume of simple things, and know a^2 + b^2 = c^2, and know what an angle is, etc. but other than that, i dont remember ever using geometry in another math class.

I loved geometry! It was the best math class ever!

... I don't really think it is vital to success in Alg II/Trig.

in my school we learn algebra 2 and then geometry....then precalc and then Calc

hmm geometry was incredibly easy at my school :/ im in precalc right now and ive already forgotten 90% of the formulas prolly from disuse
