<p>Hi!
I love Rice.
Please be very honest with me.
Demographics: Asian from private school in Jackson, MS
GPA weighted: 3.83 (going to ask for my unweighted soon. I had a lapse in 10th grade, but everything else looks pretty good)
SAT: Math- 770, CR- 670, W- 760 total- 2200
took it again 2 weeks ago, so hopefully I did better!
ACT: Math- 33, CR- 32, W- 36, S- 33 total- 34
I am applying for the College of Natural Sciences
My recs should be pretty good since all my teachers/counselors have known me since I was like 7 years old
I think my essays are good (but that's probably just me)</p>

<p>oh and i'm not applying for financial aid</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Varsity tennis team since 7th grade
won state from grades 9-11 (will probably win again this year, but I don't want to jinx it!)
Chinese Club treasurer
National Merit Semifinalist
Newspaper editor
Student Government (10-12)
NHS
International Club
8 year Bach Festival gold superior
+100 hours of service working at VA Medical Center</p>

<p>Something I observed w/ my graduating friends - alot of the time, colleges look for that national merit commended/semifinalist achievement on ur application - it has a good amt of weight
Extracurriculars are exceptional, however a little more to show you are a good leader would be great. GPA is actually not bad, which isn’t my case =(</p>

<p>SAT is VERY GOOD, ACT EVEN BETTER (send both)</p>

<p>If your essays are good, I would think that you have a better than everage shot at getting in</p>

<p>the bottom line is that rice is a high match for you IMHO</p>
