Please please chance me for Wellesley and more??

Please chance me for Wellesley, Georgetown, UVA, Vanderbilt, and Duke!

SAT: 2260 (780 writing; 770 reading; 710 math)

SAT 2: 730 (math 2); 590 (Latin); 670 (physics) I am sending Latin just to Georgetown
GPA: 4.3960 (weighted but it will get higher after first semester...)

Classes: IB Diploma Candidate taking 3 HL's (chemistry, English, Latin) and 3 SL's (math II, biology, geography)

EC: intern at Smithsonian where I do guided tours, viola, president of Key Club, organized the school blood drive when Hurricane Sandy hit, intern turned intern coordinator for a private organization called USKAF which works towards reconciling cultural differences, TA at my church's kindergarten, volunteered at disabled elders' home, Science Olympiad, Science Honor Society, NHS, Operation RISE (science club)

Female, Korean in Virginia

Awards: 2 PVSA certificates & badge, 2 Certificate of Appreciation from Smithsonian, numerous All A's awards, Academic Excellence Award, 4th place in Disease Detectives Regional for Science Olympiad, and more academic achievement awards

I am EXTREMELY concerned about my SAT 2 scores. I am thinking about majoring biology so I know I have to have a high math 2 score but I got my score today and it stayed the same from my last May score. And of course my Latin and physics scores are abysmal (only took Latin for Georgetown). Are subject scores that significant in the application process??

Oh and Wellesley is my top choice. Then it’s Vanderbilt, Duke, UVA, and Georgetown in that order (Georgetown is last mainly because I know I have an extremely low chance in getting accepted due to my SAT 2 scores)

I wouldn’t get too hung up on subject tests. Even if they are requirements, rarely will they be dealbreakers.

Duke and Vandy - low reach
Wellesley, Georgetown, UVA - high match

@immasenior: Do you think it’s okay that despite my major being a science-related one my math 2 score is low?

Firstly, it isn’t low. The highest of the high end schools report SAT IIs in the mid 700s for accepted applicants.

As I said before, it won’t make or break it like ECs or an essay will. I would be worried if your math 2 was 100 points lower, but you should be happy with a 730.

Anybody else please???
bump…
