I just got my June SAT scores 770/740/680 Math/CR/Writing(essay is 9)..frankly speaking, I'm quite pleased with the CR score considering I only came from China to Canada around 9 months ago...
I already registered to retake it in Oct and really want to boost up my writing scores...I totally screwed up the writing in June and my essay was such a piece of trash that I do not even want to think of it.lol
Here seems to be many people with 700s in writing section (envious)...how did you guys prepare for the writing section, especially the MC...can someone recommend me some good reference books?

I think any book with a practice test and answers should help. I got a 770 on the writing with just a 9 on the essay because of my multiple choice, you just have to know the rules they're looking for. Then again, I've never taken a practice test so I could be overemphasizing the amount of help they give, but I imagine seeing questions and answers will give you the best idea of what kinds of things they're looking for. A lot of the time it's something subtle that's obvious when someone points it out but hard to spot if you don't know to look for it (on the 770, I actually went back after I finished my first writing section and changed several answers).
