how do i compare???

Relax. I think you have a fantastic chance as long as essays and recs are good. SAT 25th-75th range is 1790-2100.
I may be applying to UNC myself and found this very helpful

[Student Data - Office of Institutional Research and Assessment](http://oira.unc.edu/facts-and-figures/student-data/)

Sorry but I have to disagree with collegeconscious - those are the stats for overall entry into UNC CH - the OOS are much higher and a total LOTTERY! I think you will be considered because your stats are good but I would not count on it - no one from OOS can! The link does have some OOS numbers on it but remember OOS stats include recruited athletes and legacy’s that might bring the overall average down.

i know being out of state is going to hurt my chances, that’s why i was so worried. thank you both! I guess i’ll just have to apply and see…fingers crossed!

I live in NC. You’re in, no doubt. Those stats are f***ing beautiful. I know a kid with C’s that got into Chapel Hill because he got the exact same (1410) SAT score and had like 300+ service hours.

Chapel Hill is 17% OOS…and you might want to check with the OOA on the residency issue. I’m not sure that they give OOS students second pick over ISS. I think it might be even…but call the OOA.
