I am wanting to inquire about the rules regarding which scores I can choose to reveal to my colleges in Pakistan as I will be applying for medicine in Pakistan through foreign seats. In June 2013, I gave Biology E, Chemistry and Maths Level 2. In Biology I got 590, Chemistry 560 and in Maths level 2 I got 530. In October 2013 (earlier this month), I gave Biology E, Chemistry and Maths Level 1. In Biology E I got 510, in Chemistry 610 and in Maths level 1 I got 540.

Therefore I wanted to ask whether I can count my highest scores in each subject or whether I have to choose one set of results or the other; as in reveal either October result or June result. So my question basically is how does the system work and what does score choice mean. Is this a free service? And if I don’t use this service can I still tell colleges my highest score in each individual subject.

So basically can I now be sure that I achieved 590 in Biology E, 610 in Chemistry, 530 in Maths level 2 and 540 in Maths level 1. And although I will only give my Maths level 1 score to the colleges but I just want to be sure about all my scores in my subjects. Because I am an international student I am struggling to understand the system fully therefore please can you satisfy my query with regards to what my results mean. I will remain very grateful and I am waiting for your clarification.

My aim was never to get really high scores because the priority in Pakistan is Alevels and most colleges only require minimum 550 in each subject so hence I never really aimed high. But please relieve me of my misery because I did really bad on Biology this time. And i am going to resit my Maths level 1 but I am really hoping I don’t have to resit any other subject

Bearing in mind I didn’t study at all both time for any of my subjects and just gave a cursory glance over my books I will be happy if I have achieved 590 in bio and 610 in chem. Please reply as soon as possible and please someone reply who actually knows for sure

@Trenchlord: Praise the lord!!
I suck at sciences, and my dad totally pushed me to take physics. Even then, SATs are way easier than Indian tests, so I was kinda hoping against hope that the scores would be better than they are…

math 1 800 (probably got all correct)
math 2 800 (I know I got at least 1 wrong and 1 omit)
Bio M 800 (Probably got 2 wrong)
I’m happy but it was no surprise.

What does it matter if you’re Asian? Just because that culture may have a tradition of excelling in the sciences doesn’t take away from the achievement. You still earned it.

That would be like punishing a group for excelling when they should be rewarded.
