It depends on the applicant pool. Do you need to take an essay test?

No, I do not have to take an essay test.

Will I be accepted into the program?

seunglee, we have no idea. We have no idea what the FCAT and NRT are (at least I don't). But most important, we don't know what the program is looking for. I would suggest you get in touch with the admissions people at the school. Some IB programs are looking for motivation in addition to the stats, others are strictly stats driven, others are simply - sign up and go.

Hey. I'm an IB student.

It really depends on the school you're going to. At my school you'd definately get accepted. All you have to do to get into IB at my school is turn in a form and not have too many bad grades.

I saw your post about the IB. Listen, I hope you know what you're getting into. Unless you're naturally smart, you might find yourself making sacrifices if you do a lot of things outside of the classroom.

that is true to some degrees.. but I find myself being mroe involved outside class. for 2 reasons. one is the IB amosphere, everyone around me is active and involved and that puts soem competition up in school for every event we organize.. and natually everyone's more involved. and second is cas.. while 150 (300 at my school) is very easy to fill.. i find my self using CAS as an excuse to do more things. its like .. o there's this new position open.. I should join.. need cas hours (even when I'm alredy done with CAS)

Our school let's anyone who wants to try into IB.

That being said, don't think being gifted is going to write your ticket through IB... They are the ones who drop out the most.

You should try reading more often... It really is important in IB, and some of your classes will be very reading intensive.

What were your writing scores?

Your fcat scores are ok, but a lot of the kids I know were maxing out the NRT before IB... and during IB.
