I think you have a fair chance at JMU. My friend is a sophomore there now and her stats were similar -- 3.5 unweighted GPA, 1300/1600 SAT.

anyone else?

pretty good chance, especially if you are applying regular decision. But take into consideration that JMU has a tendancy to be very random and weird with their acceptance

What is JMU's average SAT score for 2005? They only have 2004 scores which is 1090~1160.

you're probably in, mochalatte. from my HS, you'd be a lock at JMU.

Cavalier, what part of VA are you from? (I'm from northern va btw) I think I so your name at VT board but not sure. :) thanks for the post.

I'm from northern VA, too, mochalatte. my school was a pretty typical school from up there, and sends 30 or so people each year to each of JMU and VT.

let me guess, Woodson (Woodson Cavaliers)? I'm from NoVA area too, but I go to a private school. I've applied to JMU but I highly doubt I'll get in.
