<p>Yes, people truly benefit from hardship and misfortune. Inorder to be succesful, you must first experience what hardship and misfortune is. It will teach vital life lessons that will guide you to success. The road to be sccessful is always shaky at first. Preserve and learn and you will break through.</p>
<p>Famous NFL football player John Elway is considered one of the greatest players to ever play the sport. Most people do not know that he lost three Superbowls before he won his first. In his earlier career, his Denver Broncos would be the highest scoring team in the league, but when it was primetime; they couldn't live up to hteir legacy. In 3 Superbowls, John Elway had his worst statiscal stats of his career. Each time, his team was blown out. THat did not stop him. ELway played until he was in his late 30's. He knew with hardwork, perserverance, and dedication that he could beat his past hardships. He finally won his first SUperbowl at the age of 37 and another won at 39. He lost alot before he won it all.</p>
<p>During the American Revolutionary War, the newly formed AMerican army was no match for the experience British red coats. George Washington lost most battles he fought in. Lack of food, ammunition, and moral plague his army. All hope seemed lost. DO the American's really have what it takes to beat their suppressors? ON Christmas Eve, the battered and weakened army of the United States attacked in full force against the restin Hessians of the British army. With courage, strength, and stealth, the AMericans won the battles and turned the tide of war. THe hardship and misfortune was in the past, and only victories ensued.</p>
<p>Sometimes people cannot benefit from hardship and misfortune. Sometimes the failures and tough times are too much to handle. Hardship leads to depression. Depression leads to alcohol and drugs. Alcohol and drugs lead to death, suicide, and jail. A good example is celebrity Lindsay Lohan. She went bankrupt and never could live up to her high style of life. It lead her into doing drugs such as cocaine and marijuna. It temporarily eased the hardships, but when it was over, reality set in. That eventually ended her life as a celebrity and thus she landed herself in jail.</p>
<p>As shown above, people truly benefit from hardship and misfortune. John Elway did it by losing alot but eventually won just as much. George Washington and the Americans were on the brink of losing but fought their way back to win it all. With patience, dedication, staying calm, and a little luck; anybody can benefit from tough times.</p>
