Please read...I would love the imput

I know everyone hates these chances post, but please take the time to read this. Brandeis is my absolute dream school. I have visited and read about it and would love to go here so bad. However, looking at the cridentials of Brandeis, I don’t know if I can get in… Please be honest

High School GPA
Freshman - 3.5
Sophmore - 3.6
Junior - 3.9

Sat ( My downfall ) - 1840 ( AHHHHH!!!) This is gonna kill me

EC’s
Lots of them but main ones are going to be a 4 year varisty wrestler, Presidnt of See Green, World Affairs club, working towards obtaining my pilots licence, Over 200 hours of community service at a retirement home and a thrift store.

Essay’s
I haven’t writtem them yet obviously because I am a junior. However, when I was 8 years old to 13 years old, I lived in Shanghai, China. I know I could make a great essay out of my international experiences and because of this, i have traveled to over 35 countries.

I am also going to apply early decision to Brandeis, so hopefully that will help my chances somewhat. Please be brutelly honest even if it hurts my feelings. Thanks again

Don't be dicouraged and do apply. From my read of their stats, there really isn't a strick cut off as far as scores or grades go. I think Brandeis, and I admire them for this, looks at the whole student not just the stats. Also, be sure to inteview, tour, spend the night, if possible. They like to see that you are seriously interested in attending. My other advice would be to (study for) and take two SAT 11s where perhaps you could shine. You also could take the SATs again!

Try taking the ACT. Some do better on it than the SAT. Like brandeisdad said, they look at more than just the numbers. If your application is solid - essays, reccs, interview, etc - you have a good chance. :-]

Your GPA and extracurriculars are really great. SATs are a crappy indicator of competence at a college, in my opinion. Also conveying your enthusiasm for the school helps too. I think my alumni interview helped get me in. Chill out, you're fine. If a prep course is possible go for that, if not definitely study with the book to retake the SAT again.

i had a 1910 SAT, try taking it again....
