Yeah...
I guess I, nor anyone here, can't ever predict how it will turn out one way or another. I may not be able to transfer later, just like I may not be able to get into schools that I really wanted to attend in the spring term. Time has shown that admissions are completely arbitrary. Nevertheless, I am pretty certain that If I take the semester off, I will be able to get accepted into all the schools that I was originally acepted to. But, If I go to those schools now, I may not be able to trasnfer after 1 sem. because it is too early. Hence, taking a semester off and improving my application is probably the best option. If I get an internship, and write an essay about it, It would really help my chances. Plus, going to a state or school which you have no attachments to can be very detrimental in the end, especially if you can't get out of it later. So, aknowledging the fact that I will easily get into my safeties again, I think it is worth a try to invest one semester on my application and bypass the whole trasferring process.

The worst that can happen is that I will eventually end up in one of the colleges mentioned above despite the delayed entrance. However, at least I will know then that I tried everything I could and I won't regret not taking a chance when I had the opportunity. I learned that in life you have to take risks. Sometimes It may work your way other times it may not, but I have to do what my instincts are telling me to. I am certain a semester won't really hinder me in the future, since at least in the suny system I know my acceptance in guaranteed with my gpa and sat.

Thank you for the help everyone.
