Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if applications for the spring term are popular?
- My brother was involved in a car accident just before the regular beginning of school so he had to start school in the spring. Thus, even though he is currently classified as a senior, he needs an extra semester to take a required state exam prior to graduating, which is not prepared for at the moment. Consequently, he has no choice but to apply for the spring term and take only a few classes next semester.

-does anyone know if the admission rates for spring applicants are more strict that those of regular admission?

ALso, is it harder to get into some universities because the freshmen class might be already full?

Thank you in advance for your attention.

HI, sorry about your brother,

One thing i can tell you is that if your in california, majority of the UCs do not accept spring applicants.

You should specify which universities your looking at...because its pretty hard to give a generilizaion for all the shcools.

hope that helps a little.

Thank you Malishka31,

actually I personally checked the schools that he wanted to apply to ( UT-austin, BU, Ohio state, some SUNYs and UM) and it seems that they all accept spring applicants.

can anyone comment on the acceptance rate for the spring term?

Thank you

Or, would it be better for him to wait another semester, and apply for regular decision?

if those are the schools he wants to go too, and he can apply for the spring, then he should do it - - if he doesnt get in, then he can wait till the fall and apply again

thank you emilycm
- Is it possible that his high school my object to him staying a semester longer when he already has the credits to graduate?

anyone????????????
