*Please Read- Urgent-ish* should I....

Hey
I've been doing ACT tutoring for a little. I have taken 3 or 4 legit ACT tests and have gotten 31 32 34 and i don't remember the other one, probably a 30-32. Also I did pretty amazingly on the PLAN :P

I thought the 34 test was easier than the rest but i guess they are all the same with the curves.
At this point Its the difference between around 31ish and 34 is just how many careless mistakes I make.

Anyway my tutor said I should take the test this weekend (standby)
Also my main issue is I haven't practiced or even thought about the writing section

Questions:
Is standby a good shot? anyone have any experience/knowledge? will I get in?
Should I take it? (would you)? (More summer practice would be less careless errors but on the other hand I'll be done with it)
If i retake it, will it look bad (2 or 3 tests as opposed to one?/What if I get a 32. thats the 99th percentile but I know I could have gotten a 34. Would it look bad to retake it then?
Is the writing test score important? How important?

Sorry if this is a lot of stuff or If I sound like this is really important/ the world will end if I don't get a 36
I'm just kinda nervous because its two days before the test and I just heard about it so.... thanks.

The more time you wait to take a test, the more time you have to do other things that aren’t the test. With college apps (if you are a junior) and the start of junior year, I wouldn’t assume that you will dutifully spend all summer studying. I don’t know about stand by, so I can’t help you there. And there is nothing wrong with retaking the test…colleges (most schools) look at only your highest score. So relax!

Writing is easy. Write as much as you can, include stories, use transitions, etc. I didn’t study for the writing my first time and I got a 10/12, and I’m proud of that score

It depends on the schools you are looking at as far as the importance of writing, different schools have different policies. Hope that helps!

hmm a little unclear but you are saying go for it?
hmmm
I guess like I said I have a tutor so I go once a week or maybe twice a month and take some tests. So the motivation isn’t really a problem but I guess.

My advice? Take it now stand-by. You are ready to get a 32-34, any of which is a very good score.

My daughter, in April, had practice test scores of 31, 31, and 32 going in, and she rocked out a 34 on the actual test.

Regarding stand-by…she took the SATs last weekend. She was registered, but quite a few kids showed up stand-by, and her impression was that most/all of them were seated. Go for it!

Thanks
whats the worst that could happen I guess.
I don’t get in- no big deal
I retake it next year- nbd
thanks :)
