It really sucks, at my school everyone else is just kickingback and doing nothing while i'm still working really hard. I'm one of about 1/4 of the seniors who actually took challenging classes and actually have homework and projects and stuff like that. Anyway it just gets me mad to hear that other hs's are already out and those who are still in school are doing nada. I know itll be easier transitioning to college if i actually do work my senior year but im really sick of it and ready for school 2 be over! anyone else agree? sry for my anger had to vent sumwhere :)

Well i am a senior and my teachers are still loading on the work. I had a 10 page english paper due today if that makes you feel any better. Ap calc is getting really hard too, funny that we are doing the most challenging stuff all year after the AP test is over

Um...I had my last test today and I have a 5 page english essay due next week....but thats it....All of our AP classes ended with the AP test so I'm down to just 3 classes/day and 2 of those are done teaching...

well the classes where I had ap test, we're doing projects now (they need a grade for the last marking period or w/e), it's kind of annoying, but at least I don't have any more of those little hw assignments everyday, so yea technically, we're still doing work.

stupid projects.

sorry to disappoint you but the seniors have already completed their hs careers in my school. they just finished their final exams today, and have no classes or tests anymore.

:) A number of days from now you'll be relaxing and having absolutely nothing to prepare for or do related to any academics. Sweet, huh?

Just to reassure you: my last day of school is on Friday. Tomorrow I have a math test and an economics test, plus a debate activity for government class. I had a term's worth of morality papers due today for religion. I have a history project due Friday worth 10% of my grade.

The past few days and the next day are going to be one of the busiest time blocks academics-wise of my ENTIRE senior year. And as I mentioned, I only have two days left.

Not to mention, Monday and Tuesday I STILL have to drag myself to school to take my final exams for all the non-AP classes I took.

I'm a junior, and I'm not doing any work anymore.

My last day of school is next Friday, and I have two days of finals the week after.

Now that AP exams are done, we're just doing projects in most of my classes.

I'm also totally lazy.

Thanks for some reassuring, just fyi our last day is JUNE 17 for graduation.

I've been out since April 29th, but I do counseling and stuff, so I'm usually ** in ** school anyway.

Helping the next class with their attempts to get into college. :P Might as well, before I forget all of it anyway.

Our seniors are graduating July 7th. The school doesn't get out until July 14th, and we resume in late August. Of course, the early start on school (it used to be September) lets us, the juniors, graduate June 30th.. >.< It's still not April, or May.
Let me reassure you that our seniors are still doing work. Although APs are over and many teachers are just giving out projects and other work... many are now cramming for their senior project, and if it's not done well, they wouldn't be able to graduate. Our senior project consists of a 10-minute presentation, with requirements of community service, internships, and analysis of your work thorughout high school. I know a few people last year were in danger of not graduating because of their senior project or lack of community service hours. A few had their acceptances revoked because of their failing grades (mostly in math, I believe), and are attending community college instead of their nice, 4-year universities. All of our seniors are taking "challenging" courses, and take eight classes each year. I hoped I reassured you that yes, other seniors are doing work.
And next year, I will be still working until the end of June, along with the rest of my class. So juniors- be reassured that there will be people working at least a month after you graduate. I really really hoped that they'd change all of this.. but :sigh: what can one do with the administration?

We're still doing work... We graduate the second week of June so we still have a while. Isn't it better to work than sit there and do nothing?!?!
