I've used books which have list of SAT words. I've also used flash cards .

But I think it would be better to learn new words in my laptop rather than reading books.

So, please recommend SAT vocabulary oriented websites !!

Pleas help !!!

Web-sites don’t improve your vocabulary power, hard work does.

thanks mechnesium.

@Suleyman95 > yeah i know. But I think its better to work SMART rather than work HARD.

well dont get offended though… you know its better to start from websites… well its like that in my case.

to work “smart”? never heart of it. It’s better to work efficiently; to achieve efficiency though hard work.

Suleyman is a trollllllllllll. Look how his writing style changes from post to post.

Oh and I was wondering how Direct Hits works. I know it’s a book, but what makes those 450 words special?

The Direct Hits books have an amazing number of words that show up on the SATs. Many of them are the correct answers, especially to the hardest questions. Read through the many threads/posts about DH and you will see their success. Silverturtle also recommended them.

They recently came out as eBooks and can be downloaded to your laptop through the free Kindle app. You can check out a free sample before you buy them on Amazon. They really helped raise my scores.

Wow. I consider this as a compliment because my improvements are headed so fast that you can’t even see them.

suncoastfan: they’re an ebook now? yay!!! why can’t I get them at my bookstore then?

I don’t know why you can’t get them in bookstores, but you can order them at a Barnes and Noble and have them sent to you.

I was a reviewer of the 2011 books this summer and I got an email saying the books were now ebooks a few weeks ago. I put them on my phone with the Kindle app.
