<p>Maybe he should try SAT one or two more times (because of score choice). Hopefully he’ll get the reading part to a respectable level (I assume English is his first language, yes?). That said, any state schools should have a decent CS program. And it rarely mentions on CC but nothing wrong with the directional state schools (Southeastern Oklahoma, Southern Georgia etc. - not to suggest these schools, just examples of what directional means) especially with a major like CS. If he had 600 CR, I’d say Case Western Reserve, WPI, Rochester Institute of Technology, RPI… could be a candidate. (Cross posted with proudwm – same idea).</p>
