Assignment : Is the world changing for the better ?

The world has evolved from two major wars that have caused tremendous devastation to mankind. Now that the war is over ,peace and harmony have settled in . The human brain has evolved to create the greatest advances in the future, all for the better. The evidences from history and present are pervasive.
It was after the end of the World war II that the world suffered. The people were left heartbroken, hopeless and the governments chained down. There was an echoing need for restoring peace and humanity. The dream was not too far , and with the signing of the peace treaties and the establishment of the United nations it was apparent that the world was changing-for the better. The United Nations with its several branches, stands tall even today in the United States. Back then , it helped the world to achieve peace and ameliorated relations among nations. It aided in harmony and worked towards eradicating the ills of society as a whole. It's members promised the world not to repeat another disaster like the world war.Today, when physical war among nations is almost over, we have organisations working to maintain peace and harmony and to help make the world a better and safer place to live. Today , we have philanthropists working to amass charity for the needy ones, for those who cannot afford their own treatment.Additionally, we also have organisations like WHO working to eradicate diseases and improving public health.
Apart from this change, if we keen on the situation today , we are living in a highly progressive world. Technology for instance, is growing at a rapid rate. It's applications in real life are countless-from Televisions, mobile phones, smart phones, tablets, e-readers , navigation systems , softwares to super computers and satellites;everything we have today makes our life more and more easier and smarter. Simple better. The Internet is almost a necessity today--providing a multi-purpose platform wherein people share their ideas, observations and innovations with the world. It may be ostensible that technology can at times overpower us and lead to disastrous results, but it is upon an individual how to make an efficient use of it which will eventually be in his/her benefit.
These compelling examples from the History and present attest to the point that the world-whether or an individual level or on a larger scale- is surely changing for the better. Change is a cycle of life and although some people argue they do not benefit from that change , the fact that we are arguing on this topic in the 21st century elucidates the point that things will be much better in future.
