please save me!!!!!

Hello friends, I have failed to understand this college supplement. I will be so thankful if any of you gives me a better approach the question goes…

February 2015 saw global, record breaking low temperature in the the Eastern US and Rochester. Students here who thrive in white winters (and three beautiful other seasons) wonder how can you make Rochester “ever-cooler”?

I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!

What are your ideas so far? I would start by thinking of these questions:

why do you want to attend that school?
why do you want to attend a school in that part of the country?

how do you feel about cold winters and overcast skies?
do you know other people who have attended that school?
—if so, how did they feel about the weather?

They are asking you how you will make the school/campus a better place, not about the weather or winter, per se. They only used that to set up the metaphor.

My interpretation is …how can I make students’ life ever cooler or students’ life better at Rochester. If I can make their life better then Rochester will be cooler for them

Yes to your interpretation, and if you have solid reasons for loving the school and love the changing seasons and weather, that’d be great, too. Or you might say, weather doesn’t affect you; you are always cool.

Isabel2017, I think you can make someone’s life cooler although they are feeling cold or in the winter. I think it can be done in another way rather than looking at the weather. If I am able to be there for you in whatever the circumstance, give you support in other aspects like class work, encouraging you incase your heart is broken. I think I am making you comfortable in that school. Finally, if I am such a person around you, would the school can be cooler for you? :)>-

yes, and you sound like a cool person that would make anyone feel good regardless of weather. good luck!

I really do no like this essay question #-o but I have to write it too. I just dont know how much I can make an impact on the university lol. Anyway its basically asking what you can bring to the university as a student, not necessarily academically…
