Hi, I’m taking the June ACT and I was wondering if anyone was willing to share examples of 11/12 ACT essays. I think this would help many users since I got a 12 following examples of people who scored 12’s on their SAT essays. However, since the ACT essay format is particularly new to me, I would like some assistance. Please help me out!!!
I talked about scientific research and an experience where SAMs club rejected me from free samples because I wasnt 18. I got a 12. ACT is more about argument (an actual essay) whereas sat cares about examples and form.

I can’t really remember what I wrote about since I took the ACT over a year ago… I believe the prompt was about tutors versus teachers. I got an 11 on mine, just remember to write as much as possible. Organization is important (one idea per paragraph). I introduced an idea (abstract) and backed it up/elaborated with real world examples (concrete).
Actually, the example “12” essay that the ACT has on their website basically shows you what they’re looking for. I was literally just looking over that the night before, haha.
But I do believe that length is the biggest factor for your essay score. Immediately start on the intro when you can, and have a basic essay template planned out before the test. It’s in your best interest to not stop writing
