i did worse on verbal than i did on my oct and nov ones… !@#%@!$#@! i want to kill myself… i dont know how this happened… i really dont… but, it went down from 690 to 660 to 650 this time despite my math went up to 800 on the nov and jan testing… is there ANYTHINGi can do at this time to lessen the negative effect the drop may have? please, anything would be helpful… thx so much… just for my standarized testing info, my other sat 2 scores are 750 on writing, 800 on 2c and chem and 780 phy… i sent my jan score to harvard princeton dartmouth and columbia… :(:(:(
i was deferred from Princeton D… now everything is ruined.
<p>The colleges assume that your highest scores are the best representative of your skills. They know that being sick, careless errors, etc. can cause scores to be lower than what your skills are. With the exception of the rare people who manage to cheat, it's next to impossible, however, to get a score that is higher than what your skills are.</p>
<p>If it's a comfort, my v and m scores went down the second time I took the SAT. This is even though I had studied my butt off before taking it the second time. I still got into Harvard.</p>
<p>I believe JeepMOM is right. To the best of my knowledge most colleges will consider your highest combined SATI score: so your highest V + your highest M, regardless of the date you took them. Keep you chin up!</p>
