Please What Are My Chances At Vandy

After rigorous searches of University that would fit me academically and socially, Vanderbilt came up on top of my list. I plan to major in Astronomy or anything related to physics and chemistry. I'm in my senior year now.
Now my record is not that strong, like some other's on this forum, because of many circumstances. I'm from Haiti and i just moved to USA 4 years ago. The school system was new to me therefore there were a myriad of things i didn't know about the system till now. I wanted to be in the IB program but i was rejected because of minimal language barrier ( in my freshman year i could communicate and understand most things said, but my speech wasnt fine-tuned). I didn't find out about the SAT and ACT till late my junior year and i just found out about the SAT subject tests. I attended an High school with a black majority but has a strong magnet and IB program.
HERE IS MY RECORD PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CHANCE I'VE TO ATTEND VANDY WITH EARLY DECISION II
I'm in the top 6% in my class of more than 650 students. Taken out the IB students, i'm # 1 in my class, and i'm also # 1 for the black students.
I've had all A's but one B+ in physics.

GPA weighted: 4.47 (without the college classes that i'm taken)
STATE GPA: 3.96 out of 4 (without the college classes that i'm taken)
ACADEMIC CORE: 4.29 (without the college classes that i'm taken)
ACT: 26 ( i was sick when i took it, i mess up in the last part, i will take it again Dec, projected score at least a 28)
SAT: will be taken Dec 4 for the first time
projected score: 1300-1400
AP COURSES: AP American History( had a 1 in the course because i had a
teacher who incorporated his political view with his teaching
and my lack of interest in politics)
AP French( didn't take the course but passed the language
test w/ 3.
Plan to take AP chemistry and english 4 next semester and will pass them.
COLLEGE CLASSES THRU DUAL ENROLLMENT: MAC 1105- A, ENC 1101-WITHDRAW DUE TO PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES, CHEM 1040, AST 1005.

HONOR COURSES: ALL OTHERS CLASSES BUT 2 ENGLISH CLASSES, 2 SCIENCES, AND 1 MATH WHICH WERE IN MY FRESHMAN YEAR.

IN ALL MY TRANSCRIPT WILL LOOK LIKE THIS:
ENGLISH: 5 CREDITS, MATH: 7 ( no calculus but i will be taken MAC 1140), SCIENCES: 7, SOCIAL SCIENCES: 3, ARTS: 3, FOREIGH LANGUAGE: 2 ( i'm a french speaker therefore they had to put me directly in french IV and i passed the ap test.

I WILL HAVE A STRONG ESSAY, CLOSE TO GREAT, THAT IS A GUARANTEE

STRONG RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PRINCIPAL OF THE SCHOOL , MY CHEMISTRY TEACHER AND MY COUNSELOR.

I'M NOT BIG ON EC ACTIVITIES BECAUSE I WAS TRYING TO ADAPT TO A NEW COUNTRY.
play varsity soccer for 2 years
member of the french club, art club, chess club
i've done alot of community services but they are not in my school records but i plan to have at least 150 hours recorded at the end of my senior year
won a few important awards here and there.

I WANTED TO ATTEND AN IVY LEAGUE COLLEGE BUT I REALIZE THAT IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO DO SO.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS...THIS IS MY LIFE..THE BIGGEST DECISION I WILL MAKE

As a URM with strong credentials as yourself, I think that you stand a very decent chance. Good Luck.

Your a very well rounded student so I think your chances are good, especially early decision, last year they had 1,084 students apply early and 446 got in. So about 43% chance, but given your crudentials id say about 75% or higher (don't you just wish you knew it were a 100%)

what does URM stand for?

underrepresented minority

Thank U All For Replying My Thread. I Just Post One About Life At Vandy...if You Guys Can Answer A Few Of My Questions In It, I Would Appreciate That

I'm thinking about taking 3 SAT II tests in December to improve my chance at getting in Vandy. Is it required for me to take them because the subjects are not fresh in my mind? I'm good at Math, Chemistry, and French... if i cram a few, i think i will have a good score and any of those.
I really don't want to ruin my chance at getting in....ANY SUGGESTIONS?

they only use the SAT IIs for placement in classes, so while not having them won't hurt but having them on your transcript will help unless you do poorly, so you really should consider how much you know on each subject before taking them

If you apply ED, they won't even see them, because it will be too late.
