please... what are my chances of getting into princeton?

I'm a sophomore in high school and I was wondering if I would have a good chance of getting into the colleges listed below (predominately Princeton) based off these:

1.) 1st place in my state, freshman year for scenario writing competition
2.) went to internationals at MSU for scenario writing program and placed 3rd
3.) 2nd place in the state, sophomore year for same competition
4.) 2nd place in the state for the future problem solving competition
5.) top 6th pianist in my state (competition invited 550 highschools to participate and only chose six pianists)
6.) played in carnegie hall multiple times
7.) elected secretary for two years at student run organization that helps blind (Leo Club) outside of school
8.) freshman class VP
9.) in MUN (attended 4 national conferences), debate club (JV this year but Varsity next year), and track (JV)
10.) played piano at carnegie hall twice
11.) 3.56 unweighted GPA (last year) will get 3 more B's this year; all honors freshman and sophomore year
12.) four AP classes and all honors scheduled for junior year; plan on getting 4.0 unweighted
13.) took practice SAT and got 2100; will raise to atleast 2300 (certain)
14.) editor of school newspaper for two years (opinion and news section); will be editor in chief senior year (talked to advisor, position is certain)
15.) semi-finals at tri-state competition where only 10 pianists were selected in my age group out of a total of 100-200 that tried out
16.) organized various piano recitals at nursing homes
17.) over 300 volunteering hours
18.) will be either vice president/ president of our district's Leo Club by end of junior year.. i am 98% sure of this, as I came extremely close to winning vice president during this year's club elections.
19.) 3.78 unweighted GPA FOR SURE senior year. this is assuming that i get 4.0 junior and senior year.. which i KNOW i will be able to get because i've just been lazy for freshman and sophomore year. although this is a horrible gpa in IVY standards, i would have a 3.82 if my HS counted gym and driver's ed as part of gpa. unfortunately.. they don't :( also, if Princeton overlooks freshman grades (i heard that they do), then i would have a 8.53 UW gpa by the end of senior year. it's not perfect.. but still much better than 3.78.

SCHOOLS I'M INTERESTED IN:
-princeton (dream school)
-cornell
-brown
-duke
-nyu
-johns hopkins
-carnegie mellon
-georgetown

Are these good credentials?? I know I don't have my SAT II's or ACT yet, but I'm sure I'll do fine on those, but what I'm worried about is my GPA. This has been something that has been bothering me for the past five months. Please... what are my chances?

I can’t tell you anything you don’t already know. Your ECs look pretty good, but your GPA is low. I advise you to do well on the SAT.

EC’s are very solid. your GPA is definitely average and maybe a bit below average, especially since you are assuming your 3.78 is with 4.0’s in both junior and senior years, where your schedule will (and should) be stacked with AP’s. you can help your case a bit by destroying the SAT I and SAT II’s, writing very decent essays, get good letter of recs, and having a kickass interview. Even then, you still aren’t “guaranteed” into Princeton, since it is still a reach school for even the top of the top applicants.

If you can get your UW GPA up to 8.53 then you’re virtually a lock.

Was that a joke or a typo? Haha sorry, can’t tell over the internet.

oh!! guys sorry i meant 3.85 instead of 8.53
i’m not even sure how it came out like that actually haha.

6.) played in carnegie hall multiple times

WHATTT – as in SOLOIST?? Or an accompaniment?
EC’s are amazing… so jealous of your piano accomplishments :P

regardless of EC’s, musical accomplishments, scores, or grades, these schools are looking for students who will potentially do something great, not just polished resumes from tutored and coached rich kids…if you can convey that potential in your application, then you’re good

Keep in mind that at the time of your application, your transcript will most likely only include grades/GPA through your junior year. In January (or whenever your grades are ready), you can send in your first semester transcript from senior year.
