hello everyone, I have been stalking other seniors' chances threads and now decided to do my own. I did one before but that was a long time ago.

I am currently a senior at a public high school in North Carolina. My family moved here during my first year living in America(I could barely communicate in English.) so my freshman and sophomore year's classes and grades were not as great compared to others, but my grades picked up after I learned English and I can now speak and write fluently. I will be the first one in my family to attend college.

My GPA is 4.2917 weighted and 3.7917 unweighted. My class rank is 22/286, that makes me top 7%. I have 4 AP classes total. (I think my school offers 8 or 9, but I could not take any more because I have to take graduation required classes first since I took too many easy classes my first 2 years).

My SAT score from June is 570/710/570(CR/M/W)-1850. I am waiting on the October result and hopefully it would be 1900+.

For my Common App essay I wrote about that I first lived in NYC and then moved to an isolated area in NC and how I overcame the language difficulty. Also I described my identity as being both American and Chinese.

My ECs are averaged:
Key Club member
ROCAME(an engineering club for minority)-1st and 2nd place in competitions
Chinese tutor
Spanish Club-help with parade and cultural festivals
NHS
Chorus
couple art awards
SADD club member
