Please, what are my chances?

Greetings,

I am going to retake the SAT and the SAT IIs most probably. But these are my stats as of now. I also want to know if I have a better shot ED, or RD?

-Currently Researching at a National Lab nearby
-Currently enrolled in a new research class given in my school using online classroom technology.

Essays:
-They are very good, I am a very good writer, my teacher who read one of them said that it was one of the best he read from anyone in the AP Lit. class.

^some chance, but chances are low, nothing much stands out, for all the science research, you math and science test scores are low. Research is meant to show deep interest in a field that you are great at, if you can't demonstrate high ability, research can just be seen resume building. Much of you ECs also look like resume building rather than serious commitment. ap grades are low and the south asian ethnicity works against you. you obviously have a better shot ED, but chances are slim either way.

Yeah, it hurts, but I have accepted as this being very true.

Oh really?

SAT could be higher.

South Asian hurts you? If that is so, can't he just mark it as "unreported" or whatever the equivalent option is? Or would that hurt more?

nothing really 'stands out' to me. i see nothing here that would make an admissions officer say "hey, this person has a real spark to them" and give you the benefit of the doubt. a lot of those activities are 1-year, too, which says "resume-building" more than "genuine passion".

are you in the NYC public schools? Didn't see a location or a description of your high school's environment.

No, I'm in a Long Island public school. We usually send about four students each year to top 15 schools. So will this help me or hurt me?
