PLEASE, what do you think of my essay to Columbia GS (for non-traditionals)

I’m feeling kind of self-conscious. I don’t have an overly ornate style of writing. I like my writing to be with simple words, concise and easy to understand (crystal clear). My mom loves my essay but my best friend was iffy about it and had several complaints/ideas for improvement.

Now I feel like I need another person’s opinion. By the way, the prompt is to write an autobiographical essay:

Autobiographical Essay (1,500 – 2,000 words): Tell us about your educational history, work experience, present situation, and plans for the future. Please make sure to address why you consider yourself a nontraditional student and have chosen to pursue your education at the School of General Studies of Columbia University. Successful essays should not only identify and describe specific elements of the program, academic or otherwise, that meet your needs as a nontraditional student, but should also explain why GS is the place for you.

IF YOU CAN HELP ME GOD BLESS YOU. IT’S DUE IN 1 WEEK EXACTLY.

Or should I just post it here?

send me your essay in a private message and i will happily look at it. i have some experience writing college application essays, and know the columbia GS school very well.

Can I keep in touch with you also? I’m getting ready to apply for the Spring 2013 Term.

Is that really the standard they uphold? I’m nervous now.
