I know it’s a little late, but I just received my ACT score on the 20th and my SAT on the 22nd (today).
SAT I: 2220 = R 740 / M 710 / W 770
ACT: 30 = English 35 / Math 28 / Reading 32 / Science 26 / STEM 27
SAT II: Bio 600 / Math 2 710 / Math 1 670 / Literature 680
-
My SAT I is my strongest score, so I’m definitely sending that to my colleges. My 30 ACT is subpar compared to the 2220, but would it help or harm me if I submitted both scores?
-
I took the ACT because I did very poorly on my subject tests, as you can see…
So would my 30 ACT make up for the low subject tests? -
I understand that a 710 in Math 2 is considered 50th percentile, but it’s my highest subject test score. My 680 in Lit isn’t amazing either, but it’s my second highest score. Would they help my app if I sent them (to my reach schools listed below)?
**Keep in mind that if I send my Lit score, then my ugly Math 1 score (670) also has to be sent because I took those on the same day.
I feel alright for my safeties and targets, but I’m also applying to very selective schools as my reaches: Yale, Columbia, Cornell, UCLA, UC Berkeley, U Michigan. Yale is my absolute dream, and they accept February ACT scores, so I am planning on retaking the ACT (hoping for a 33) as well.
I guess my basic issue is I don’t know which combination of scores to send right now.
2220 SAT + 30 ACT?
2220 SAT + 30 ACT + 710 Math 2?
2220 SAT + 710 Math 2 + 680 Lit + 670 Math 1?
2220 SAT + 30 ACT + 710 Math 2 + 680 Lit + 670 Math 1?
Or only send my 2220 SAT? – And send a higher ACT score as soon as I take it in February?
PLEASE help!! I’m so stressed and confused.
