ECs are:
president(and founder) of economics club
ymca student board, asian club, illini red cross, soccer team, art club
member of 2 honor societies, dean's list, and i also got an email from The National Society of Collegiate Scholars which i'm not sure if i'll join

so what do you guys think?
any inputs will be appreciated!
thank you~~

I am appyling to all of those schools and I have a 3.64 cc and a 1250, a few ECs, you guys are making me feel dumb. If you get rejected by ANY of those schools I'll be shocked, and it means I have no chance of getting in.

Your English skills are nowhere near good enough for U. Chicago. Verbal score is too low, and you haven't taken any Lit. or History in college. It looks like the core would kill you.

What??? Are you serious, she is doing business everywhere so I doubt they weigh verbal that much anyway, I hope that's not true at least, with a 3.94 and all those crazy ec's if you don't get in...

I think they're probably closer to a Match, because of your lower SAT scores. You have to remember that Stern and Ross are two of the big non Ivy business schools, and some of the best in the country. Everyone's competiting to get in and while your GPA is great, you're a freshmen applicant, which means your SAT scores will still be looked at.

my toefl score is 254 which I took more than 2yrs ago
and i'm taking rhet 105, astronomy, advertising300, calc 1 for business app and speech and hearing science this semester
so i'm actually taking some lit courses

so any other ideas?
I thought that Uchicago, northwestern are big reaches for me b/c of my low reading and writing scores..oh btw, i'm international as all of you may have figured out
and I've heard that ross picks most of their students from Umich and other in-state colleges..so it's very hard for oos to get in. Does anyone know if this is true?
what about stern? and washingtonU? they are my hopes b/c they specifically say that they don't look at the sat scores taken after high school

verbal is very important in business, if the OP were to apply to science, math or comp sci, the verbal score maybe overlooked, but do you want to do business w/ a business man who can't express himself well?
besides Uchicago's core is enough to kill you even if you HAVE strong background in english

well...those two classes are mendatory for business major freshmen at uiuc
so uchicago is a very reach for me? yea..I know..
then what about the other colleges?
