<p>What do each of these fees (esp. the PLEDGE fee) represent?</p>

<p>when is the bar payment due?</p>
<p>the pledge fee was passed last year by a student vote during the usac elections. some of the money goes toward student scholarships, but most is for various student groups (the biggest chunk of which goes to student media/daily bruin).</p>
<p>Maybe it’s the “pledge calpirg” thing? </p>
<p>And on a note to incoming freshmen, avoid those who approach you with clipboards and the black people with suits.</p>
